Over 100 volunteers help prepare for and work at the Literary Festival every year. Their work and dedication ensure that our programs run smoothly and attendees enjoy themselves to the fullest.
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, with the greatest need during the few months leading up to and on the weekend of the Festival (April 25-27, 2025). Grab a friend, neighbor, or members of your book club or writing group and join us this year!
High school students are encouraged to volunteer and can earn service hours for their time. Students from Newburyport, Amesbury, Triton, and Pentucket high schools have served as venue staff, helped with fundraising mailings, and set up venues.
We’re currently seeking volunteers with specific experience in these areas to support Festival committees.
